Behind the platform

LetsTalkAML is founded by Saad A. Malik, a Senior AML, Compliance and Data Protection Specialist with over 11 years of experience across the UK, Canada, and internationally. Saad has worked across some of the world's leading financial and legal institutions — including BNY Mellon, HSBC, Scotiabank, Eversheds Sutherland, and Walkers — spanning roles in AML, KYC/CDD, sanctions screening, financial crime risk assessment, regulatory compliance, and data protection governance.

In his current role as Senior Compliance Associate at Mount Street, Saad works across UK, US, and German jurisdictions with a strong focus on data privacy, GDPR governance, and regulatory compliance — supporting the development and maintenance of compliance frameworks, policies, and controls at an institutional level.

His broader expertise spans customer due diligence, PEP and sanctions escalations, financial crime risk assessments, AML programme development, and compliance training — built across over a decade working within banking, asset management, and legal sectors on both sides of the Atlantic.

Certified in AML, combating terrorist financing, GDPR, and compliance and risk management, Saad brings both the technical depth and the real-world perspective that this space demands.
